Byte-Sized TEL

The Byte-Size TEL sessions look at different aspects of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) are open to all staff. The sessions take place approximately every two weeks during term time and the format is usually a 10/15 minute presentation on a particular topic followed by an open discussion and tea and coffee.

  • 6th February 2019 @11am: Paul Young (School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology) will speak about Student produced Video of Group Role Play Assignment (Library Seminar Room)
  • 13th February 2019 @11am: Brendan McElroy (Economics) will speak about Textbooks and Online Assessment (Library Seminar Room)
  • 20th February @11am: Vera McCarthy (Nursing), Managing a Wholly Online Programme (Brookfield Rm 3.03)
  • 20th March @11am: Helen Kelly (Speech and Hearing Sciences), Clickers in the Classroom – enhancing student engagement (Room 3.04 Brookfield)
  • 3rd April @11am: James Kapalo, Development of the Hidden Galleries Digital Database (Rm 2.44 ORB)
