From time to time the instructional design team organises training around using different technologies for teaching and learning. Some of the sessions we hold during the year include
- Byte-Sized Sessions – These are short sessions where we ask a guest speaker to talk about their experience of using a particular technology. There is also an opportunity for open discussion and questions and tea and coffee is served.
- TEL Practicals – These are hands on practical sessions, held in a computer lab that last approximately an hour. These sessions usually look at how to use a particular software/tool for teaching
Recently, we also held a TEL Tasters event which was made up of multiple sessions. The event proved to be a great success.
