Latest Blog Post – Assessment of/for/as Learning: In the latest blog post, Dr Briony Supple, CIRTL outlines some different forms and ideas for assessment.
Opening of Library Studio: On Wednesday 22nd November, Professor John O’Halloran, VP for Teaching and Learning and Colette McKenna, Director of Library Services opened the new Self-Service Library Studio. The Studio is a new video and audio recording facility based in the basement of the Boole Library which can be used by both staff and students. It will soon be bookable through the Boole Library website.
Byte-Size on e-Books: The latest Byte-size took place on the 21st November when Mr Ronan Madden (Boole Library) outlined the various e-Book resources that are available in the library. For those interested Ronan has kindly made his slides available.
Our next Byte-Size Session will be on Wednesday Wednesday, November 29th when Dr Robert Gaffney and Noirin Herlihy (School of Medicine) will talk about their use of video for assessment. The session will take place at 11am in the Rm104 in Brookfield. Remember the timetable for the Byte-Size Sessions is available here.
TEL Practical – Video for Assessment: In order to complement the above blog post and Byte-Size sessions, we are organising a TEL Practical around the use of Video for Assessment. This will take place on Tuesday 28th November from 9:30-11am. All are welcome to attend however numbers are limited so please register at this link.
